Jennifer joined our team of professionals in May of 2013. She has more than 10 years of experience as a Benefits Advisor working with both public and private sector groups. She has extensive experience assisting employers with designing and implementing benefit packages, cost-management analyses, PPACA guidance and contract negotiations. Jennifer is a St. Ignace native and has a Bachelor's degree from Michigan State University with a major in Kinesiology and a minor in Corporate Wellness.
In her free time, Jennifer enjoys spending time with her husband and 2 children, as well as golfing, kayaking, mountain biking, hiking, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing. One of her all-time favorite things to do is boating with her family on the beautiful shores of Lake Superior.
Heather is a new addition to our Customer Service department. As an Account Coordinator, Heather works closely with our Benefit Advisors to create and prepare presentation materials for our clients. She also assists our customers with billing issues, administrative tasks, and answers any questions they may have. Providing top-notch customer service has always been important to Heather. She enjoys working with her 44North team members to provide that high level of service to all customers.
Outside the office, Heather enjoys spending time with Jeff, her husband of three years. Together, they have a fur baby; a cat that they rescued from a shelter. Heather and her husband named their cat Norman, after the lead role in their favorite movie, Psycho. During the freezing winter months, Heather enjoys quiet nights at home watching TV. When the snow is gone, Heather can be found on the shores of Lake Superior hunting for agates.
As a Patient Advocate at 44North Deana does her utmost to assist our members with claims issues. Deana collaborates with outside professionals in order to save members money, such as contacting providers and primary insurance companies to investigate why certain services may or may not be covered. She also works with the 44North team to facilitate a smooth billing process by working with Patient Advocates and Account Coordinators to resolve the more complex issues.
Deana has a bachelor’s degree in human services and is a mother of five with children ages 7, 8, 14, 17 and 18. She has been married for six years, but has been with her husband for over a decade. Deana enjoys being with family in her spare time. She hopes to pursue her master’s degree in counseling psychology in the near future at Western Michigan University. It is her passion to help people.
As a Claims Analyst for 44North, Kristin processes the claims coming in through different insurance companies. She makes sure that they are being processed correctly based on the individual members plan and needs. Kristin enjoys making sure her members have a seamless experience and smoothing out any questions they may have.
Kristin grew up in the Lake City area where she still lives with her husband, daughter and golden retriever. She met her husband in high school where they both played for the high school golf team. In her free time, Kristin still enjoys to play golf and can’t wait to teach her daughter to play. She also enjoys helping her daughter train to be the next American Ninja Warrior. She may only be little, but she has big dreams and hey, who doesn’t want to be a Ninja!
