HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS…
It is with a heavy heart that I pass along the passing of my father-in-law. At this special time of year, for the first time, my dear friend will not be with us.
Too often, we catch ourselves with the fact that life is flying by. And yet, it’s time like this that you wish you could go back and re-live some of the days past and the great memories we hold nearest to our heart. I am so thankful for what he meant to me, the grandfather he was to my boys, the parent he was to his three children and the love he showed each day to his wife. It was his strength in faith; his passion, as well as his unique ability to make those around him feel like a friend that set him apart. It was this friendship, passion and faith that helped me through some of my most challenging times in my life and I will forever be thankful.
So what is the wellness moment here? It is never too late to take time out to thank that person in your life for the little things or the big things. With the holidays here, find time to send a note, pick up the phone or my favorite, share a cup of coffee with that special person and relive the past or discuss the possibilities that lie ahead. Regardless, be thankful for what they have meant to you.
You will be missed WJG: 7.14.45 – 11.2.2018
